The Electrical Distribution Company of the East is responsable for the distribution and commercialization of electricity in the geographical area that includes, in the Distrito Nacional, east side from Av. Máximo Gómez, throughout to the Altagracia province in Higüey, including the municipalities of Santo Domingo Norte, Santo Domingo Este, Guerra, and Boca Chica, as well as the provinces of Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, San Pedro de Macorís, El Seibo, La Romana, and La Altagracia.
It is created in 1999 with the 464-98 decree and the Public Companies Reform General Law, just like EDESUR Dominicana, and the Electrical Distribution Company of the North. It is a company committed to improving quality of life within its accredited area, making continuous efforts to keep the adequate processes and the use of new technologies to improve its management.
